Requests for admission

Similar to Interrogatories, Requests for Admission are written questions submitted by one party to another party during the discovery process to which written answers must be given under oath.  The purpose of Requests for Admission is to eliminate or narrow matters which will not be contested at trial.  Requests for Admission ask the opposing party to admit or deny uncontested factual issues in a lawsuit so that time at trial can be spent on contested factual issues in the case.
