Adler’s election comes as communities across the country continue to rely on independent public media for fact-based reporting, civic dialogue, and stories that reflect local experience. He noted that “as our nation celebrates its 250th anniversary, we need to stand tall for the enduring importance of a free press as a check on power and a source of public understanding.”
“Cascade PBS helps our region with reliable information, thoughtful programming, and meaningful opportunities for community conversation,” Adler said. “A free and independent press has always been central to American civic life as noted by our Founders and Past Presidents.”
As a member of the Board of Directors, Adler will support Cascade PBS’s continued work to expand access to trusted public media, deepen community engagement, and advance independent journalism and storytelling throughout the region.
