A Fight in the Name of Kenney Bui

Traumatic Brain Injury / Head Injury | Concussion | Kenney Bui | TBI | Zackery Lystedt Law

It was October 2015, when the Bui family lost their 17 year old son, Kenney –  the result of a traumatic brain injury that happened during a high school football game.

Circumstances tragically similar to these compelled us to help craft the Zackery Lystedt Law, also known as Washington’s Return to Play Law, back in 2009. The law was passed to save lives. Yet, the concussion protocol is not being consistently followed and our youth athletes continue to be placed in harm’s way.

As we approach the 3rd anniversary of Kenney’s passing, we’re working with his family to help put an end to these types preventable and devastating injuries.
