Working for insurance companies and having a theater background might seem like an unusual combination, but they actually helped build a strong foundation for me to become an attorney. From my time as an actor and director, I developed the skills to listen, relate, and tell people’s story in a meaningful way.

It also got me really comfortable with standing before a crowd of people judging my every move and word. And, as a claims analyst for a local health insurance company and Sr. Litigation Specialist at Farmers, I learned all the tactics insurers use to delay, deny, and defend injury claims. I now use this insight to safeguard my clients from all the pitfalls in the claims process and to knock down any barriers to their recovery.

When first I came to work at Adler Giersch back in 2002, I joined as case manager, helping attorneys wrangle case logistics. I grew close to the team and, as I watched clients come out the other side of complex cases, I saw the difference we made. I felt inspired.
I also felt frustrated. Without a law degree, I was limited in how much I could help. To have a bigger impact, I knew I’d need to go back to school. Even though it meant I couldn’t work locally or full time any more, AG supported my decision entirely. I continued to work remotely once I was accepted to Widener University School of Law. After graduation in 2009, the team made room for me to come back as an attorney. I mention this because that type of employer loyalty is uncommon, and it really speaks volumes about the team at Adler Giersch. I worked my way up to become a Partner, and now I’m truly proud to lead our office in Everett in addition to working throughout the greater Seattle area.

I’m proud to be on the Snohomish County Bar Association Board of Trustees. I work on strengthening and growing the legal profession in Snohomish County through ongoing education of SCBA members, promoting professionalism among members of the bar, and fostering access to legal services and resources to the community.
I’ve been a professional member of the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington since 2009. BIAWA’s mission is to provide support and resources to survivors of brain injury, their families and care providers.
Along with my wife Danielle, who is an immigration attorney, I volunteer my time at free legal clinics and other events hosted by Casa Latina, Northwest Immigration Rights Project, and other organizations serving the immigrants throughout the PNW.

Cuando no estoy en el trabajo, puedes encontrarme….
Hitting the gym early in the morning and at yoga classes with my wife on weekends. I love spending time with close friends, trying my hand at new recipes and hosting my annual “Rib Fest” every summer. I enjoy gaming and reading or watching historical fiction, crime dramas, and sci-fi.
