2/28/08 -  Adler Giersch Attorney Breaks New World Record
Our own Betsylew R. Miale-Gix, elite boomerang thrower and Adler Giersch, PS attorney at law, shattered the World Record for unlimited maximum time aloft during a USBA Boomerang Tournament in Tucson, Arizona. The boomerang was aloft for 3 minutes and 49 second before being caught, 29 seconds longer than the previous record. Congratulations Betsylew! On August 18 - 27, 2008 Betsylew will compete in the 2008 World Boomerang Championships in Seattle, WA at the University of Washington intramural fields. Spectators are welcome!

1/3/08 -  2008 Whiplash, Spinal Trauma, and Personal Injury Case Seminar

11/12/07 -  Betsylew R. Miale-Gix has been induced into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum
The Million Dollar Advocates Forum (which includes the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum) is the most prestigious group of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. The organization was established in 1993 and there are over 3000 members throughout the country. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.

11/7/07 -  Referendum 67 Victory for Washington Consumers
Washington voters decided it is time for the insurance industry to play by the rules and approved Referendum 67 in Tuesday’s election. The referendum was approved 57 percent to 43 percent. The margin is expected to grow as additional ballots are counted. R-67 goes into effect 30 days after election results are certified by the Secretary of State. More than 100 organizations including seniors, firefighters, consumer groups endorsed and worked on the Approve 67 campaign.

7/12/07 -  New Fees for Filing Liens in Washington State
Efective July 2007, the price for filing liens has gone up from $32.00 to $40.00 per lien. The fee for a conformed copy is still $1.00.

6/7/07 -  2007 Seattle Blood Drive
John Alexander and Adler Giersch PS hosted its 6th annual Blood Drive with the Puget Sound Blood Center at the Adler Giersch Seattle Location. Free food, beverages, and gifts were to given all donors.

5/30/07 -  New Law on Traumatic Brain Injury
Richard H. Adler met with Governor Christine Gregoire as she signed legislation creating state funds for survivors of traumatic brain injury. The funding comes from a new law that Mr. Adler and the Brain Injury Association of Washington advocated in the legislature that imposes an additional $2.00 fine on traffic infractions in the state of Washington.

4/18/07 -  Richard Adler makes his Radio Debut!
Richard H. Adler was asked by radio DJ Kevin Ebi of KJR 95.7 to sit down and discuss traumatic brain injury. Richard was accompanied by Dr. Kathy Bell of the University Of Washington Department Of Rehabilitation Medicine and Board Member of the Brain Injury Association of Washington. The interview included how the brain gets injury; symptoms of a head trauma; types of treatment; Richard’s meeting with Bob Woodruff; and upcoming Washington State HR bill 2055 hearings for fund services for traumatic brain injured survivors. The interview lasted just under 30 minutes and air on Sunday, April 1, 2007.

4/1/07 -  Adler Giersch Bellevue Office
Construction of the Bellevue Office is finally completed! With a new front entrance, paint, and windows, the office is transformed to a professional, comfortable, and warm working facility. The new office also includes 5 offices, one conference room, new flooring, granite counter top, and 6 additional parking spaces. The Bellevue Team is very excited with the new facility as they moved in the beginning of April.

3/29/07 -  2nd Annual Everett Blood Drive
The 2007 Everett Blood Drive with the Puget Sound Blood Center was a great success. A total of 31 people came down to donate blood, received gifts, and enjoyed great food. There was a total of 14 first time blood donors.

11/22/06 -  NEWS RELEASE November 14, 2006: NEW ATTORNEY JOINS ADLER GIERSCH PS

Janet Thoman Green has re-joined Adler Giersch PS as an attorney after a three year sabbatical to attend law school. Ms. Thoman Green obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Washington School of Law in 2006 and has now been licensed to practice law. Ms. Green has extensive legal experience from her previous 12 year career as a personal injury paralegal with the Adler Giersch PS. Ms. Thoman Green is a terrific addition to the AV rated attorney team at Adler Giersch PS who serve the needs of those injured by the wrongful acts of others throughout the Puget Sound and Washington state!

8/6/06 -  Betsylew R. Miale-Gix returns from competing in the World Boomrang Championship in Asahikawa Japan
Her USA squad Yama Otoko finished 6th on the 4 day of the World Team Cup Tournament. Betsylew finished 14th out of 89 of the best throwers in the world from 13 countries in the Individual World Championship 2 day tournament, while winning her 4th consecutive Women's World Championship. She also set a new women's world record in the Endurance event with 66 catches in 5 minutes. Betsylew holds 5 of the 7 women's world records and is tied for a 6th. BMG will be competing in the USA National Boomerang Championship September 2 - 4 in Atlanta, GA.
