Richard H. Adler Particiates in Concussion Panel on Q-13 News

Richard H. Adler participated in a roundtable interview at Q-13 television station  with Richard Ellenbogen, MD, Chairman of the Neurosurgical Services at Harborview/UW Medicine, Jim Miller of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA), Stan Herring, MD, Co-Medical Director of the Seattle Sports Concussion Clinic at Harborview Medical Center, and the Lystedt Family regarding the “Zackery Lystedt Law”, the nation’s first return-to-play law aimed at preventing preventable brain injuries in youth sports by requiring medical clearance of youth athletes suspected of sustaining a concussion before sending them back into a game, practice or training.

Seventh Annual Brain Injury Association of Washington Gala

Adler ♦ Giersch PS attended the seventh annual benefit auction for the Brain Injury Association of Washington, the Brain Injury Gala.  The law firm was a sponsor for the event and hosted six tables.  The auction raised over $425,000, a new record for the association.  Washington State Attorney General, Bob Ferguson, served as the Honorary Chair.

Adler Giersch PS Receives Corporate Member of the Year Award

The law firm of Adler ♦ Giersch, PS was awarded the Corporate Member of the Year Award from the Washington State Chiropractic Association.  Adler ♦ Giersch, PS was been a member of the association for over 20 years and has been at the Leadership Level in providing support for the association.  All attorneys were on hand to receive the award at the Saturday Night Awards Dinner during the annual Washington State Chiropractic Association’s convention at the Seattle Airport Marriott Hotel.

Adler ♦ Giersch, PS Participates in 2013 Walk Like MADD/MADD Dash


Adler ♦ Giersch, ps was a proud sponsor and participating team of the 3rd Annual Walk Like MADD/MADD Dash event on September 15, 2013 at the Magnuson Park in Seattle.  As personal injury attorneys, we have represented many  people whose lives have been dramatically altered or changed forever as a result of a drunk driver.  The law firm of Adler ♦ Giersch, ps is 100% dedicated to preventing drunk driving and underage drinking.

This year’s team had a total of 21 members.  The team raised a total of $2,360 in additional to its sponsorship.  All proceeds go directly to Mothers Against Drunk Driving – Washington Chapter.  Team AG is already planning fundraising for 2014!


Sports Safety Clinic for Parents, Athletes, Coaches & Community

Adler presented at the Safe Kids Eastside Sports Safety Clinic for Parents, Athletes, Coaches & Community for Parents & Athletes sponsored by Evergreen Health and the Brain Injury Association of Washington.  The event was open to parents, athletes, coaches & the community and held at Woodinville High School Theater.

Additional featured speakers included:

  • Stanley A. Herring, MD – Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialist; Co-Medical Director of the Seattle Sports Concussion Program; Clinical Professor University of Washington and a team physician for the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners; Member of the NFL Head, Neck and Spine Committee; “Lystedt Law” contributor and advocate;
  • Darin Harris – Former UW Husky Football player who suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury his senior year; former high school Defensive Coordinator and Seattle Seahawks’ intern. Current Board Member – Brain Injury Association of Washington;
  • The Lystedt Family – Brain Injury Awareness, Prevention & Safety Advocates; Zack is the inspiration and namesake for the ground-breaking health and safety legislation known as the “Lystedt Law,” that was signed by Governor Gregoire in May 2009; and
