Adler participated in a special panel interview on Q13 Evening News with Marni Hughes on October 7, 2015.  The panel included Zackery Lystedt, Dr. Stanley Herring (University of Washington/Seattle Sports Concussion at Harborview/Seattle Seahawks Physician), Mike Colbrese (Executive Director of WIAA), and Terri McMahan (Athletic Director of Highline School District).

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is holding their Annual “Walk Like MADD” on October 10, 2015 at Green Lake Park (Seattle).  MADD’s work in our community on the messages of “designated driver,” “take a taxi” and “don’t drink and drive.”  This work has no doubt saved lives and prevented traumatic injuries. However, there is more work to be done and this is an important issue worthy of support.  MADD also provides vital support services to survivors of drunk driving and their families.  This event is a great way to provide support.

Here is how you can help out:

  1. Join the Adler Giersch Team. We invite you to join the ADLER ♦ GIERSCH PS team.  Register online by visiting http://www.walklikemadd.org/team/adlergiersch and click on “Join Our Team.”  Check in time begins at 8:00am.  The 5k begins at 9am.  The cost to join is only $25.00 per adult walker, $30.00 per adult runner, $15.00 for children (5-18) and it includes a great T-shirt for the event.

King County Library Systems to Host Concussion Prevention Event

Richard H. Adler is an invited speaker to the King County Library Systems’ Mindmatter Presentation “Concussion Prevention and Traumatic Brain Injury.”  Mr. Adler will present along with Dr. Stanley Herring and the Lystedt Family, Zackery, Victor, and Mercedes.  The presentation will be held on two dates.  September 29th at the Covington Library and October 6th at the Burien Library.  Both events start at 7pm.  Registration is free.  Go to www.kcls.org to register.

Brain Injury Alliance of Washington 5th Annual Walk, Run, Roll

The Law Firm of Adler Giersch participated in Brain Injury Alliance of Washington’s (BIAWA) 5th Annual Walk, Run & Roll. This year’s over 200 walkers, runners and rollers participated. And the event raised over $15,000. This will help BIAWA to continue to provide services to brain injury survivors, caregivers, and their families.
